Buenavista (officially Barangay Buenavista) is one of the 44 barangays constituting the municipality of Ubay, in the province of Bohol, Philippines.
The barangay's total land area is approximately 651.54[2] and has a population of 711[3] as of 2007. In the last 2010 National election, it has 405[4] registered voters.
Barangay Buenavista celebrates its annual fiesta every Last Saturday of April in honor of their patron saint.

Located on the southwestern tip of the municipality, barangay Buenavista is bounded by barangay Los Angeles to the north. It is bounded by municipality of San Miguel to the west, to the south by municipality of Alicia and to the east by barangay Gov. Boyles. It has approximate distance of 35 km from the town center, Poblacion.
Barangay Buenavista got its name from Spanish words, Buena vista which means beautiful scenery.
There are seven puroks or units in the barangay manned by the elected kagawads including the Punong Barangay or Barangay chairman.
The Barangay of Buenavista, through its Sangguniang Barangay, envisions to produce a totally developed and progressive community through its well- disciplined, responsible and God-fearing leaders in promoting the general welfare of its citizens.
The Sangguniang Barangay aims to promote health and safety, enhance prosperity, maintain peace & order, improve morals and preserve the comfort & conscience of the barangay inhabitants.
